Board President's Letter

Paula Podemski, Board President Our 32nd Season!
I am so proud and excited to present our 32nd season, continuing the tradition of staging the finest musical theatre available. This season's seemingly diverse offering actually shares a common theme about basic needs: Mel Brooks’ bawdy The Producers - at its core a story about the need for friendship; The endearing Honk! - the classic tale of the need for acceptance; Sondheim’s sophisticated Company - examining our need for companionship; and finally the scorching 110 in the Shade - beautifully exploring our need for love.

SMT needs YOU!
At Seattle Musical Theatre, our basic underlying need is clear – You! Especially during these difficult financial times, we count on patrons like you to make it all possible. Here are three easy ways that you can make a difference:

  1. Come see our great shows - Simply enjoy a wonderful evening of musical theatre and your ticket purchase helps to sustain our ongoing mission.
  2. Bring a friend - Help us spread the word. Too many nights, our hard working cast can still see some available seats. Please help us fill them by sharing the excitement of SMT with your friends.
  3. Consider a donation - Even the smallest gift of $5 buys a light bulb or helps build a set or a costume. Larger gifts cover show royalties, musicians, and so much more. If you are at all able, please visit here for more information.

These three easy choices offer you a way to help with our basic needs, and hopefully Seattle Musical Theatre can fulfill your need for a fun and magical evening of top quality entertainment. Thanks so much for your continued support. I look forward to seeing you at the theatre.

Sincerely,
Carolyn Holmberg-Vranjes
