Seattle Musical Theatre’s Season General Auditions
Seattle Musical Theatre is holding their first annual general auditions for our upcoming 35 th Season! We are looking to cast actors, singers, and dancers for both principle and ensemble roles. We are looking for actors of all ages. The shows that will make up our 2012-2013 season will be:
Legally Blonde: The Musical
Directed by Sam Pettit
Scrooge: The Musical
Directed by Steven Fogell
Altar Boyz
Directed by Troy Wageman
Gypsy
Directed by Jeff Kingsbury
Auditions will be held at the following times:
• June 2nd from 1-5pm
• June 3rd from 6-10pm
Auditions will be held at TPS Studio C – NOT at Seattle Musical Theatre.
All auditioners must bring to their audition:
• A resume and a recent headshot
• ONE monologue and TWO contrasting musical theatre songs, each 1 minute long with your whole audition not exceeding 3 minutes
• Sheet music for both of the songs you will be singing
Callbacks will occur throughout the 3 weekends following the auditions, as well as again in October for Gypsy.
Auditions will be by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please email auditions@seattlemusicaltheatre.org with a digital copy of your resume, a recent headshot, and your availability for audition times. These auditions slots will be first come, first serve.
If you cannot make general auditions, auditions will be scheduled for any roles left uncast after general auditions approximately two months prior to each show’s opening.
