Letter from the Board President
Welcome to our 30th season of bringing you quality musical theatre. We are proud of this
accomplishment and will continue to bring your favorites to the stage during this banner season.
But wait, is that something new? Yes, we are changing our name. Our audiences spoke and we
listened. Our name needed to say what we truly are all about: Musicals. “Seattle Musical
Theatre presented by Civic Light Opera”, a new name, but you know us well. You will see the
shows you know and love, with something new sprinkled here and there. Please join us for our
special anniversary season, celebrate the number “30”, and sit back and enjoy our
wonderful selection of shows performed in our cozy quarters at Magnuson Park.
If you have ever attended a musical theatre performance, you know how much fun and uplifting it can be. If you have never attended a performance of this uniquely American art form, you and your family have a great treat in store. Seattle Musical Theatre is the only theatre company devoted solely to bringing you the best of the genre, and we deliver! Our upcoming season has something for everyone and we would love to have you share in the experience of the magic of live theatre.
